Companies, enterprises, and corporations hold quarterly shareholder meetings where they address the concerns of investors. This is where major organizational financial plans get approved, board members are elected, and policies are written. In post industrial-world we get so caught up with bottom lines and profit margins that we forget the meanings and consequences of our actions. The shareholders and investors into the world and its continued operation are not just private equity or day traders, they are the living organisms, the resources, the atmosphere. Without bees and six inches of rich topsoil, we are nothing- humans would be lost to erode on the banks of a river. This piece, completed in 2026, serves to bring us back to that reality. The one where we can go to work for eight hours but still remember the bigger picture is outside of the cubicle. This is a beautifully textured acrylic painting of towering lilies accented by embroidery of stamen, insects, and letters.
